happy 4th of july...

The Misawa State Fair got cancelled because the forecast said it was supposed to rain and be really windy.

They were wrong!

This is what it looked like at 1pm... the time the fair was supposed to start.

I really wanted to go to the Grid because the have a big inflatable boxing ring and they were showing kids' movies, but Mommy and Daddy decided that wouldn't be fair to Drew because there wouldn't be anything there for him to do. So we went to the Weasel's Den.

All of us in the baby play area. 

We quick took a picture because me and Averie are too big to play in the baby part! I don't even know why we went somewhere that had a baby part because Mommy let him out into the big kid part and told me not to step on him!

Drew learned how to crawl on his hands and knees!

My arms and legs are finally long enough to do the rock wall!

FSS put the bounce houses that were supposed to be at the State Fair inside the Weasel's Den. It was tons of fun because we were the only ones in the Toy Story house.

Mommy even came in and bounced.

We believed the forecast and froze our hamburgers, so we had nothing for dinner. Mommy wanted Pepper Lunch, so we went to Shimoda Mall.

They have cool kid sized tables in the food court.

Daddy and Averie decided to have McDonalds, but Mommy said I couldn't get a Happy Meal. I didn't want to get a Sad Meal because it would make me cry, so I went somewhere else. We walked around and found another place with kid's meals and I chose this. Good thing Japan has picture menus because I don't know how to read Japanese because they use kanji and hirigana. Oh, and I don't know Japanese. We didn't even know what the place was called until we got home and looked it up. It was called Ringer Hut.

The website said I got "Elf Sara Udon - a noodle dish with fried udon noodles topped with vegetables and heavy sauce." In any case, it was yummy!

I'm getting better with hashi.

Mommy got beef Pepper Rice from Pepper Lunch. It's pretty cool. They give you a really hot plate and cook your own meat on it at the table. You have to be really careful 'cause you can burn yourself on it.

 After dinner we went to Daiso to get some ice packs and then we went to the playground. There are some really, really cool playgrounds in Japan!

Daddy and Averie raced on the ziplines.

Then we drove home so we could watch Wreck-It Ralph.
